| Professional Women’s Network (PWN) is proud to continue its tradition of awarding scholarships to local, non-traditional women students from Eastern Iowa. Since 1992, PWN has awarded more than $25,000 in scholarship awards to active, non-traditional students. All scholarship applicants must be a female, an Iowa resident of at least twenty-one (21) years of age who has or will return to school after an absence of at least three years. Applicants can be either a full or part-time student. Full scholarship requirements and applications are available on-line at www.pwn.org. Applications must be postmarked by April 15th, 2010.
PWN was formed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1979 by three local business women. It continues as a growing and vibrant organization comprised of over 200 dynamic business and professional women. The purpose of PWN is "To promote and enhance the status and influence of women," and PWN’s motto is “Women Helping Women”. The organization provides women with opportunities for personal and professional development. PWN provides numerous opportunities for networking, education and leadership training throughout the year. PWN is proud to support its Scholarship Foundation which awards annual scholarships for local non-traditional women students continuing their educational goals.
