The Linn County Nonprofit Resource Center is partnering with the Linn County Department of Public Health to present a series of social service training programs.
Title: Motivational Interviewing
Trainer: Dr. John Wadsworth, Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Iowa
Date: Friday, September 10th from 2 to 4 p.m.
Location: Linn County Nonprofit Resource Center, 324 3rd Street SE in Cedar Rapids
CEUs are available to participants of this training session.
Funding has been arranged so there is no charge to individual participants of this program.

As part of the LCNRC Clearinghouse Lunch Seriesa bi-monthly free lunchtime session meant to offer low-cost business services and best practive information to area nonprofitswe are hosting a lunchtime presentation on health care reform changes as relates to nonprofit organizations and their employees. Mark Hudson and Diane Kutzko or Shuttleworth & Ingersoll with present a variety of health care legisalation information and answer questions.

This session of the Nonprofit Management Academy will focus on budget planning and projections, accounting and record-keeping, management reporting, audits, accountability, and working with boards on financial matters.
